More visitors to malls in towns with low COVID-19 Infection: FRDC features in ET

Places like Kochi, Baroda, Amritsar and Bhopal witnessed 30% footfalls in malls and barring Bengaluru and Kolkata, major cities recorded minimum double digit growth in people visiting malls.


Sanjay Agarwal, MD & Founder, Future research design company says retailers will need to do all it takes to welcome everyone in the new world and times.

“The time to restructure formats is on drawing boards for certain categories which are negative post Covid, but action may take some time more. Lot will depend upon negotiations between Landlords and Malls on rentals etc before retailers decide restructuring formats,” said Agarwal.
